Barbie In Black

She has had many costumes such as a rock star, a princess, a bride and so on. Young girls love to play with these dolls, but some do not realize that Barbie could be a bad influence on children. Some young girls might try to be "perfect" like Barbie, and possibly lower their self esteem.

     A woman by the name of Stacey McBride not only thinks that Barbie is a bad influence, but has noticed that Barbie is only advertised and sold as a Caucasian. She has started to design new dolls which have features and skin tones that represent many other races other than Caucasian. McBride thinks that by doing this, children of all races will be able to play with dolls and get rid of racism. The dolls will also be a good influence for young girls.
